Although women aged 50 to 70 are entitled to a breast screening every three years, women over 70 must request one but can still be screened for free. Luckily more women than ever in the UK are surviving breast cancer thanks to better awareness, better treatments and better screening. This is why the events of the awareness month are really beneficial.
